Talakaveri is the birth place of river kaveri. Devotees arrive from various places to Talakaveri to take holy dip at this place. Steps have been constructed from this place to climb the great Brahmagiri mountain which is the second highest peak in Coorg district. All round view from top of the mountain is beautiful and the series of wind mills set up on top of the mountain adds on to the panorama. Thereafter the river Kaveri flows down to Bhagamandala where river Kannike joins her at ‘Sangama’. Lord Bhagandeshwara temple is located at the Sangama and thousands of devotees take dip in the sacred Sangama.
